Local residents are being asked to assist those living with dementia by taking part in multiple events leading up to the Walk for Alzheimer’s in Chatham.
The Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent (ASCK) has kicked off the Walk for Alzheimer’s fundraiser with a 50/50 draw. Tickets can be purchased online or at various locations in the community.
Then ASCK is holding trivia nights at Red Barn Brewing Company on May 9 and at Glasstown Brewing Company on May 11. Registration details will be released in the coming weeks.
The fundraising events will culminate with the Walk for Alzheimer’s event on May 25 at Kingston Park in Chatham. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will include live music, local vendors, face painting, games, collaborative artwork, and more.
This year’s fundraising goal for the Walk for Alzheimer’s has been set at $65,000.
