Wallaceburg Fire Causes $350,000 in Damage

No injuries have been reported following a fire in Wallaceburg over the long weekend.

Fire fighters from Chatham and Wallaceburg responded to a Bluewater Line property shortly before 9 o’clock Saturday night and arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames and the lone occupant waiting outside.

Crews from Tupperville and Dresden were called in to help battle the fire.

Damage has been estimated at $350,000 and the fire has been deemed an accident, originating from a wood stove.
