Charges have been laid against two Walpole Island residents following a weapons complaint earlier this week.
Officers with the Walpole Island Police Service and Lambton OPP responded to a property on Tecumseh Road on Walpole Island First Nation just after 9 o’clock Monday night.
Authorities say a containment area was set up with the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit on scene.
Two people were eventually taken into custody without incident and a search warrant executed on the premises.
A 19-year-old and 21-year-old have both been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Both have been released from custody and will be back in court in Sarnia in July.
