An annual campaign will be bringing smiles to children with physical and developmental challenges throughout the community.

Tim Hortons restaurants in Dresden, Chatham and Wallaceburg took part in the Smile Cookie Campaign between April 29 to May 5, raising $54,618 in support of the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent.

More than 150 community volunteers assisted with baking and decorating over 29,000 cookies at the Chatham Armoury kitchen during the campaign.

The treatment centre was one of 550 Canadian charities, hospitals, and community programs that were supported through the sale of Smile Cookies during the annual fundraiser.

Other Tim Hortons restaurants in Chatham-Kent raised money for Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Chatham-Kent Student Nutrition Program.
