Local residents will be lacing up their running shoes for a special event supporting Chatham-Kent families living with dementia.
The Walk for Alzheimer’s runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Kingston Park in Chatham, and will include live music, local vendors, face painting, games, collaborative artwork, and more.
Tickets will also be sold for the Alzheimer Society’s 50/50 draw with the jackpot now sitting over $2700. The winning ticket will be drawn on May 31st.
This year’s fundraising goal for the Walk for Alzheimer’s is $65,000.

All funds raised stay in Chatham-Kent and support more than 1000 clients and care partners with programs and services such as the day programs in Wallaceburg and Chatham, in-home respite care, First Link Care Navigation and education programs.
