Local conservation officials are looking for the public’s ideas when it comes to land management.

The St Clair Region Conservation Authority is working on a draft Conservation Lands Strategy, required under new regulations through the Conservation Authorities Act.

The goal is to provide a clear set of objectives to help inform decision making related to property owned by the SCRCA.

The draft strategy was approved for public and Indigenous engagement and consultation by the Board of Directors in February 2024, and covers four land classes: Conservation Areas Active Recreation, Conservation Areas Passive Recreation, Management Lands, and Administration Areas.

Public comment will be received until July 14th at 11:59 pm and can be submitted via the options listed below.
