A Chatham woman will have to answer to a judge in court after a man was assaulted in Kent Bridge.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Longwoods Road home at around 3 p.m. on Sunday after an argument between a man and woman turned violent.

The woman allegedly assaulted the man and was also under release conditions from two previous arrests not to attend the residence.

Authorities said the woman allegedly attended the home on June 1 and June 2, as well.

The 36-year-old accused is now charged with assault and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking. She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
