The investigation continues into a weekend break in that left a softball team scrambling.

Thieves forced their way into the Chatham Golden Eagles clubhouse on Tweedsmuir Avenue sometime during the night of June 22nd.

Authorities say the culprits caused roughly $200 in damage and stole over $500 in property.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or visit www.ckcrimestoppers.ca to email a tip.

In the meantime, the Girls Minor Softball Association has launched an online fundraiser to help pay for repairs, reinforce the building’s front and back doors, install a security system, and replace the stolen items.

Officials say any funds raised over the $3000 goal will go back into programming, camps, and clinics for Chatham-Kent youth.
