The sunflowers are blooming near Thamesville as a local family once again raises money for those living with dementia.

This is the fourth year for the Puddleford Tree Farm sunflower fundraiser for the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent.

It’s a cause close to the heart of co-owner Gail Whitney, whose father Gerald suffered from Alzheimer’s.

The Puddleford Tree Farm boasts over 10,000 sunflowers this summer, with 84 rows to wander through, take pictures, and cut their own flowers.

The cost is $5 per vehicle and $1 per sunflower stem with 100% of the proceeds donated to the Alzheimer Society to support local programs and services.

The Puddleford Tree Farm is located at 22896 Scane Road near Thamesville, and is open 10am-8pm daily.
