No injuries have been reported following an industrial fire in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue responded to Arnold Road at around 8 a.m. on Tuesday after receiving reports of a fire in the roof at aluminum die-cast supplier Accurcast.

When fire crews arrived, heavy black smoke could be seen coming from the rooftop of the building and once inside they found flames in the ceiling around a chimney.

Firefighters remained at the factory for several hours to extinguish hotspots and to open sections of the roof to gain access.

Production in the facility was also shut down due to the fire and facility maintenance is assessing conditions.

Fire and water damage to the facility is estimated at around $50,000.
