One of Chatham-Kent’s most dangerous intersections will undergo a safety assessment.
Councillor John Wright brought in a successful motion to have Chatham-Kent staff conduct a road safety assessment for the intersection of Ridge Line and Kent Bridge Road, and report back to council with recommendations.
The intersection is located between Ridgetown and Blenheim.
Wright said the intersection has been an issue in the past due to visibility issues. A tow-truck driver, Wright said he has seen significant crashes at the intersection. He said the safety issues with the intersection need to be addressed, whether it’s a roundabout or a four-way stop.
A report is expected to come back to council in the fall.
