It’s now three days without any new confirmed cases reported in Chatham-Kent.

After seven new cases were reported through the Easter weekend, driving the case load total to 25, Public Health has reported no new cases on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

In addition, three more cases have been listed as recovered. Eleven of C-K’s 25 confirmed cases are now considered to be recovered.

C-K Public Health says 662 total tests have been completed in Chatham-Kent with 75 tests currently pending.

8 patients are currently in hospital awaiting test results. There are no patients in hospital with positive test results at this point.

New numbers are typically posted daily in the early afternoon.

In Sarnia-Lambton, the case load increased by nine overnight to a total of 129. 41 cases are considered resolved, with eleven deaths. 730 Sarnia-Lambton residents have been tested.

Sarnia-Lambton is also reporting a new case at a second long-term care facility. A staff member has tested positive at Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia.

Those within the facility and their families were notified by Lambton Public Health. The employee stopped providing care one symptoms began. Public Health is tracing the employee’s close contacts.

“Our concern for the people who live at Lambton Meadowview Villa and their families, is at the forefronts of our minds and we are diligently following all of the policies and protocols put in place by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Long-Term Care,” said Jane Joris, General Manager, Long-Term Care Division. “We are also working closely with Lambton Public Health and following the guidance that is provided to us.”

Lambton Meadowview Villa has been restricting its visitors since March 13 and in accordance with Ministry guidelines, has been actively screening all staff entering the Home since March 9.
