AarKel Tool and Die is growing.
The local manufacturer has acquired the operating assets of Mangas Tool and Die in Alabama.
Officials say having a presence in the southern US will allow the company to expand its reach into more American markets as well as Mexico and overseas.
In a statement released over the weekend, the company says “Now globally positioned with strategic full service tooling and engineering capabilities in Canada, Mexico, India and the United States, with supported manufacturing in China, Europe and Brazil, the AarKel Tooling Group of companies continues to expand the boundaries of innovation and customer support in the tooling industry.”
It’s just another good news story for the Wallaceburg company, which also recently expanded into metal-based 3D printing of tooling details.
