An abandoned vehicle found in a field off 16th Line has now landed a Chatham man with charges.
Police were called to the scene between AD Shadd and Dillon Road yesterday and say the driver, keys in hand, was walking away from the vehicle.
Further investigation showed the man was already wanted on several outstanding charges and the vehicle itself had been reported stolen a few days earlier.
The 29-year-old suspect was arrested and held in custody at police headquarters for a bail hearing.
