A local man has been charged following an air conditioner theft in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to an address on Sparks Drive shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday, after a man was seen leaving the scene on a bicycle that was pulling the air conditioning unit in a trailer.
A suspect was located shortly thereafter and arrested.
A 29-year-old Chatham man is now charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was later released from custody with a future court date.
