A man inadvertently turned himself into police after an attempted break-in.
Police say the accused smashed a window at a home on Richmond Street just after 8:30 last night, and then, chased by witnesses, ran to police headquarters.
The man allegedly struggled with the arresting officers, but was quickly subdued. Authorities say the man was carrying the rock used to smash the window as well as a number of stolen debit and credit cards.
He’s now charged with mischief and possession of stolen property.
