A Chatham woman accused of robbing a storage shed has been arrested again on outstanding warrants.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers located the 44-year-old woman on Queen Street in Chatham just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday. She was arrested on multiple warrants in connection to a theft that occurred nearly a year ago.
According to police, on May 6, 2024 at around 7 a.m., an officer spotted the woman in a vehicle parked next to a storage shed in Tilbury. Several stolen tools from the shed were allegedly found in the vehicle and the woman was arrested. Police also arrested and charged a 38-year-old in connection with the incident.
The Chatham woman faces charges of break-and-enter to commit theft, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
She has since been released from custody and will answer the charges in court next month.
