Active Cases In Chatham-Kent Climb To 84

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent continues to rise.

Public Health reported 19 new infections on Wednesday along with six recoveries.

There are three active workplace outbreaks, although public health officials say they haven’t been able to find a connection between the businesses. None of the workplaces are what they call “public-facing,” meaning they’re not open to the general population.

One staff member each at Copper Terrace nursing home and Riverview Gardens long term care are infected, leaving both facilities in outbreak mode.

One piece of good news – the outbreak at St Anne’s Catholic School in Blenheim has been cleared off the books.
