Another drop in Chatham-Kent’s COVID cases today.

Public Health says there are now just 16 active cases in the municipality with one new confirmed case and five resolutions.

Meantime, the number of patients being treated for the virus in hospital has dipped with one person discharged. There are still seven COVID-positive patients in care at CKHA, two of whom are in the ICU.

Overall hospital occupancy is rising. Officials say the ICU has reached 90% capacity, while beds in the medical, surgical, and critical care departments is up to 91.6%.
