Chatham-Kent’s active COVID cases have been cut nearly in half.
Public Health is reporting no new cases again today and five resolved, lowering the total active caseload to just six.
That’s the lowest it’s been since October, 2020.
Local vaccination efforts continue, including a mobile clinic at the Mary Webb Centre in Highgate today.
Meantime, there’s a chance for Ridgetown residents to get their COVID vaccine this week.
The Thamesville Family Health Team and Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres are holding a special mobile clinic starting at 9am the Ridgetown Campus of the University of Guelph on Thursday.
To schedule an appointment, call 519-352-0070 x614. The clinic will be using Moderna for first and second doses for anyone 18 and older.
66% of Chatham-Kent’s population over the age of 12 have now received at least one dose of COVID vaccine, and 15% are fully vaccinated with both shots.
