The weekend numbers are in from Public Health with just a slight uptick in active COVID cases, now sitting at 33 across Chatham-Kent.

The health unit says there were nine new cases identified since Friday’s update and eight cases resolved.

One more local resident has been admitted to hospital with the virus. According to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, there are a total of 13 COVID-positive patients in care, 6 CK residents and 7 patients from outside of the municipality.

The ICU at CKHA is 100% full, with occupancy of the medical, surgical, and critical care beds sitting at 83.8%.

Province-wide, Ontario is reporting 2716 new cases and another 19 COVID-related deaths.
