A very slight uptick in Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers today with three new infections and two cases resolved, raising the total active caseload to 37.

According to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, there are currently six COVID-positive patients being treated in hospital, three CK residents and three non-residents. Two of those six patients are on ventilators in the ICU. Overall hospital occupancy in Chatham sits at 79%, while the ICU and progressive care units are 64% filled.

Across Ontario, the Ministry of Health says there have been 3871 new cases in the last day and 41 more deaths linked to the virus. More than 2200 people hospitalized with COVID, that includes 884 patients being treated in intensive care.
