A local e-commerce platform that helps Chatham-Kent small businesses sell their merchandise online is expanding.
LUVLOCAL is welcoming a wave of ten new businesses to its online platform, which can now have their products purchased online 24/7 and then delivered to customer doorsteps across Chatham-Kent.
The local producers and artisans that have been added to the website join ten other businesses that were part of LUVLOCAL’s soft holiday launch late last year.
“We believe that ‘shop local’ is more than just a tag line, it’s getting to know the people in your own backyard here in Chatham-Kent that live here and also make the things that they sell,” said LUVLOCAL partner Moréna McDonald. “So as our platform grows, customers can expect to see more and more small businesses featured.”
Selling on the e-commerce platform, LUVLOCAL also offers businesses assistance with product photography, video content for social media, business advice, and more.
“We’re trying to remove as many barriers that we can for small businesses but also for customers as well, because we realize that shopping local is really important for our local economy,” said McDonald.
