Advance polls are opening today across the region ahead of next week’s provincial election.
Residents in Chatham-Kent-Leamington can cast their ballots at the local election office in Chatham, or at a variety of advance polls. CLICK HERE for advance poll addresses and hours in the riding of Chatham-Kent-Leamington.
There are six names on the ballot in CKL:
Trevor Jones, PC Party of Ontario
Bill Kirby, Ontario Liberal Party
Christian Sachs, Ontario NDP
Matthew Davey, Green Party of Ontario
Rhonda Jubenville, New Blue Party of Ontario
Phillip St-Laurent, Ontario Party
In Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, the local election office is located in Strathroy. Advance polls are also now open across the riding, including First Baptist Church in Wallaceburg and Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre in Dresden. Registered voters will receive their voter information card in the mail between February 17-22 with information about when and where to vote.
Eligible residents can vote in person at their local election office until February 26, or vote at any advance voting location from 10am until 8pm February 20 to 22, with proper ID.
Constituents also have the option of mail-in ballots. The deadline to apply to vote by mail is 6pm on Friday, February 21.
Election Day is Thursday, February 27 with polls open 9am to 9pm.
