The advance polls may be closed, but there’s still a chance to cast your ballot ahead of Election Day next Monday.
You can vote at any Elections Canada office until 6 o’clock tonight. Today is also the deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex candidates will be facing off this evening in a debate hosted by the Lambton, Middlesex, and Kent Federations of Agriculture. The event is being held at the Brooke Alvinston Inwood Community Centre in the outdoor pavilion, starting at 7pm.
With less than a week to go until Election Day, things are heating up locally. PPC leader Maxime Bernier is making a series of stops in the region on Wednesday- he’s the first political leader to make a stop in either Lambton-Kent-Middlesex or Chatham-Kent Leamington during the campaign. He’ll be in Inwood, just outside Oil Springs, tomorrow morning followed by a stop at the Ultimate Sports Bar in Chatham in the afternoon.
There’s a movement to get Jagmeet Singh to stop in Chatham this week as well. The NDP leader is speaking in Windsor before heading to London on Wednesday. Meantime LKM NDP candidate Jason Henry is meeting with voters at the Moose Lodge in Wallaceburg Thursday evening.
