A single-vehicle rollover crash in Comber has led to charges for an Alberta man.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the collision on Highway 77 shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while a passenger was treated by EMS at the scene.
Highway 77 was closed for several hours to allow repair crews to fix a hydro pole, which was damaged during the collision.
Following an investigation, a 35-year-old Alberta man is now charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, and assault with intent to resist arrest. He was also issued a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
The accused has since been released from custody with a future court date.
