Impaired driving charges have been laid following a collision at Wheatley Provincial Park.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the park on Sunday at around 9:30 p.m. after a vehicle crashed into a tree.
No injuries were reported.
After speaking to the driver, officers learned that he had been drinking and took him into custody.
A 65-year-old Leamington man is now charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, and dangerous driving. He was also issued a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
The accused will answer the charges in court next month.
