Investigators say a motorist was heading northbound in the southbound lane, swerving on the roadway, and eventually collided with the back of a semi-trailer.
No injuries were reported.
The 24-year-old Woman was arrested and taken to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where she failed two breath tests.
The accused has now been charged with dangerous operation, operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
She was released with conditions and a date in court next month.
