A Blenheim man is facing impaired driving charges after being stopped by police in Dawn-Euphemia.

The Ontario Provincial Police said an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Irish School Road on Saturday shortly before 11 p.m.

After the officer spoke to the driver, the 63-year-old Blenheim man was arrested. He is now charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol content over the legal limit.

The accused was also issued a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.

The man has since been released with conditions and a future court date.
