A shoplifting incident landed a Chatham woman in hot water with police.
Officers responded to a Queen Street business shortly after noon on January 22 and say the accused went into the store, stole a large amount of merchandise, and left without paying.
Using video surveillance, police were able to identify a suspect.
The 45-year-old accused was later arrested on King Street West. She has since been charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
