The push to raise funds for the new Chatham-Kent animal shelter continues.
At more than 50 years old, the current building simply can’t be upgraded to fit the needs of Chatham-Kent.
Former Councillors Art Stirling and Marjorie Crew spoke at the Chatham Rotary Club this week and Stirling says the current shelter is not involved in trying to raise money.
“We’ve had good relationships with the local staff of the Kent branch,” says Stirling. “And hopefully we can continue to work with them.”
They are looking to raise about $2-million for a new shelter.
