Barring a sizable last minute donation, the new animal shelter will simply be known as the ‘Chatham-Kent Animal Shelter.’
The fundraising group had hoped a significant donation would come forward for the naming rights, but that didn’t materialize.
The shelter in Wallaceburg will also continue to simply known as the ‘Wallaceburg Animal Shelter’ to keep branding consistent.
The issue will be discussed at the March 4th council meeting.
