Animal Shelter Promoting Inclusivity With Feline Friends

Chatham-Kent’s animal shelter is enlisting several furry friends to help promote inclusivity in the municipality.

Pet and Wildlife Rescue (PAWR) will be holding a Rainbow Cat Café at the shelter on May 17 to celebrate International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia.

Those attending will get to spend 30 minutes in the PAWR community room café, which will be filled with cats, live music and local vendors. A free drink and a cupcake will also be provided.

The event runs from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and tickets are $20.
