Another feather in the cap of Chatham-Kent-based RM Restoration.
A 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540 K Special Roadster, restored by RM and owned by Jim Patterson of Kentucky, has been named Best in Show at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
This marks the eighth time a vehicle restored by the local restoration shop has won at the event in Pebble Beach, California.
Last year’s winner, a 1932 Duesenberg Model J Figoni Sports Torpedo, was also restored in Blenheim by RM Auto Restoration.
The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is a yearly automotive charitable event, which is typically the finale of Monterey Car Week held annually in August and is widely considered the pinnacle event of its kind.
