Another Chatham-Kent resident has died from COVID-19.

Public Health says a woman in her 60s passed away in hospital on Tuesday. It marks the 17th COVID related death locally since the pandemic began, and second this week alone.

There are 14 active cases in Chatham-Kent right now with five COVID patients being treated at the Health Alliance, one of whom is in the ICU.

As far as hospital occupancy goes, two of the 10 ICU beds are in use right now, while the medical, surgical, and critical care beds are less than 70% full.
