Chatham resident Robert Salvatore Powers has filed nomination papers to run for the mayor’s seat in the upcoming municipal election.
Powers, who holds various degrees in political science and public policy, plans to – quote – give the people the power, including holding regular council meetings at locations across Chatham-Kent.
Powers joins incumbent mayor Randy Hope, Councillor Darrin Canniff, and Alysson Storey in the race.
