There are now 5 candidates running for the position of mayor of Chatham-Kent. 
Harold Atkinson of Morpeth filed his nomination papers yesterday afternoon.
Atkinson will be going up against incumbent Randy Hope along with Alysson Storey, Darrin Canniff, and Robert Powers.
Candidates have until July 27th to file their nominations for the positions of mayor, councillor, and school board trustee.
Chatham-Kent residents head to the polls on October 22nd.
