An arrest has been made after a string of apartment break-ins.

Chatham-Kent Police were called to a building on Grand Avenue East in Chatham on Tuesday and say someone had forced their way into two apartments and attempted to break into a third.

The accused was identified and arrested a short distance away.

A search of the suspect turned up a small screwdriver and a metal pick.

The 38-year-old is charged with three counts of break and enter and possession of break and enter tools.
