Applications are now open for the CKHA’s Rosemarie Miller Medical School bursary.
Health Alliance CEO Lori Marshall says grant is aimed at local med students who have an interest in starting up their career in Chatham-Kent.
“Rosemarie Miller was a very well known community leader from the Wallaceburg site, certainly familiar with her son, Dr. David Miller, who is practicing in Chatham-Kent,” Marshall says. “The spirit of this award is to help support some local individuals who are medical students who want to come back and practice here, just as David Miller did.”
The total value of the bursary is based on available funds, with support from the CKHA Foundation and the Rotary Club.
To qualify, students have to be a past resident who went to high school in Chatham-Kent or the surrounding area, being currently enrolled in a university medical school, and have a goal to work full time in Chatham-Kent for at least five years.
To get an application form, email CKHA Medical Affairs at [email protected]. The deadline for submissions in June 18th.
