The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK) has taken another step towards building a new facility.
The centre announced on Monday that Montgomery Sisam Architects has accepted the role of lead architect for the CTC-CK redevelopment project on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.
The architecture firm was chosen following an open and competitive process, the CTC said.
“Montgomery Sisam Architects has a robust portfolio of experience in designing child and youth-focused facilities that will ensure the successful design of our project. They understand
the need to design a developmentally appropriate space that is accessible and safe for children of different ages, sizes and abilities,” said CTC Executive Director Donna Litwin-Makey in a news release.
The new 55,000-square-foot facility will provide additional space to reduce wait times for rehabilitation services such as speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and autism services.
The Ontario government previously announced it will be investing $842,525 toward the development of the new facility.
