The renovations at the Wallaceburg Memorial Arena are well underway.

Jeff Bray is the municipalities Manager of Parks and Open Spaces says the 1.8 million dollar project is all about making the rink more accessible.

“We started about three weeks ago making accessibility upgrades, there will be a lift to the second floor, accessible washrooms, and we are expanding new dressing rooms off the west side.”

Once the hockey season is over, they will go to work tearing up the floor meaning lacrosse will be moving to Dresden this summer.
