
Charges have been laid after a woman was struck with a golf club in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to investigate an assault at an address on Thames Street on Monday at around 1:30 p.m.
Authorities learned that one woman struck another in the head with a golf club, causing a non-life-threatening injury. The victim did not know the attacker.
Following an investigation, a 35-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
She was later released with a September court date.
