Charges have been laid following a hold-up in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Police were called late Sunday night and say a woman allegedly threatened the victim at gunpoint and stole a large amount of money.

Officers set up a perimeter around the suspect’s home and the 37-year-old was taken into custody without incident. Authorities recovered the stolen money and seized a replica handgun.

The accused has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and robbery. She was released from custody with conditions and an August court date.
