Arrests Made Following Two Weapons Calls in Chatham

Charges have been laid following two separate weapons calls in Chatham this week.

Officers flooded the Third Street area Sunday night after a man allegedly pulled a knife, threatening another man. A 32-year-old was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Yesterday morning, police were called to Grand Avenue West with a report of three men threatening a victim with a knife and a firearm. Three men, aged 17, 18, and 22, were arrested and charged with uttering threats and weapons offences, among other things.

Officers also seized a replica pellet gun.
