The Chatham-Kent Police canine team is golden.

Constable Rick Bertock and his four-legged partner Arry placed first in the tracking trials at this past weekend’s United States Police Canine Association detector dog and tracking trials in Port Huron.

In all, 22 teams from Ontario and Michigan took part in the event.

Arry, a five-year-old German Shepherd, joined the force in 2013, and is currently Chatham-Kent’s only police dog.
