Chatham-Kent Police and fire officials continue to investigate a case of suspected arson at an apartment building in Wheatley.

Crews responded to the Erie Street North property shortly after 1:30 Saturday morning and were able to contain the flames to a single unit.

No injuries have been reported, but several tenants were displaced by the fire. Officials say a number of residents have been put up at local hotels with assistance from Chatham-Kent Victim Services and the Canadian Red Cross.

Investigators believe the blaze was intentionally set. One man was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.
