Following a month-long closure, Chatham-Kent’s downtown collaborative art gallery is finally reopening to the public.
ARTspace will open its doors for the first time in four weeks on Wednesday after the gallery was closed for maintenance.
“The reopening is the result of a collaborative effort involving several municipal teams working alongside the building’s landlord to prepare the space and welcome visitors back,” municipal officialssaid in a news release.
Gallery members will be given additional information regarding the reopening directly from CK Arts and Culture.
The closure followed a decision by Chatham-Kent Council on July 13 to postpone plans to move the gallery after the municipality received pushback from the arts community.
ARTspace, located on King Street West in downtown Chatham, provides opportunities for local and regional artists to showcase their work.
