A local man has turned himself in to police after a fight between him and another man resulted in injuries.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers began an investigation after the fight took place at a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham, on June 18 at around 1:40 a.m.

After reviewing surveillance footage and based on the severity of the injuries sustained in the incident, officers formed grounds to arrest both men.

One of the men, a 21-year-old Chatham man, turned himself in at police headquarters on Wednesday. He is now charged with one count of assault and was released with conditions and a September court date.

Police have not disclosed if the second man has been apprehended.
