
Pushing a man to the ground has resulted in charges for a Chatham man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a section of Edgar Street in Chatham shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday after a man was assaulted.
Authorities said the 61-year-old man was pushed from behind, causing him to fall to the ground. The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.
Following an investigation, a 32-year-old Chatham man was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of assault.
The accused was later released from custody with conditions and a future court date.
