An arrest has been made into a months-long assault investigation.
Chatham-Kent Police initially began looking into the allegations in November, and a warrant was issued for a man’s arrest.
Early Thursday afternoon, police arrested the accused on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
The 67-year-old has now been charged with uttering threats, assault with intent to resist arrest, assaulting a police officer and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and date in court next month.
